Ingredients for Teriyaki Ground Turkey:
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 cups chopped white onion
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped small
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 1/2 cups teriyaki sauce
Optional Serving:
- 4 cups cooked rice
Instructions
- Cook the Rice: Prepare 1½ cups of rice according to package instructions using a rice cooker or on the stovetop.
- Prep the Vegetables: Shred carrots, chop onions, mince garlic, and chop broccoli into bite-size pieces.
- Cook the Turkey Mixture: Heat olive oil in a frying pan, sauté garlic and onions until translucent. Add ground turkey, breaking it apart and cook until no longer pink.
- Add Vegetables and Sauce: Stir in broccoli, carrots, peas. Cover and cook until vegetables are slightly soft. Pour teriyaki sauce, mix, and heat through.
- Serve: Scoop cooked rice into bowls, top with teriyaki ground turkey mixture. Enjoy!
