For the Syrup:
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup white sugar
For the Lemonade:
- 10 strawberries with the ends cut off, fresh ripe are best but, frozen will work
- 1 cup of lemon juice (about 6 lemons, freshly squeezed)
- 3/4 cup of vodka (optional, gin or white rum also work)
Instructions
- Prepare the Syrup: In a saucepan, heat water and sugar over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine strawberries, lemon juice, vodka, and cooled syrup. Blend until smooth.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into a pitcher using a fine mesh strainer. Serve over ice with sliced lemons, strawberries, and mint leaves.
Notes
- Don’t add ice directly to the pitcher to prevent dilution.
- Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor.
