- 1 lbs linguini pasta
- 3-4 tbsp reserved pasta water (more if needed)

- 4 tbsp salted butter
- 6-8 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tsp salt or to taste

- 1 lbs smoked salmon
- 2 tbsp capers, drained
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add linguini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining the rest. Set pasta aside.
- Prepare the sauce: In a large saucepan or skillet, melt the salted butter over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
- Add cream and lemon: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a boil. Stir in the lemon juice and 3-4 tablespoons of the reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency.
- Thicken sauce and season: Bring the sauce to a boil again until slightly thickened. Add salt to taste, stir well, and turn off the heat.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Add the cooked linguini pasta directly into the saucepan with the cream sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly.
- Add smoked salmon and capers: Use a fork to break the smoked salmon into smaller pieces and add them to the pasta along with the drained capers. Toss gently to combine all ingredients without breaking the pasta.
- Garnish and serve: Optionally, sprinkle chopped parsley over the pasta. Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful smoked salmon pasta!
