For the cheesecake layer:

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. For the bars: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour and salt, mix into wet ingredients. Spread half of batter in pan.
  2. For the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg. Spread over the batter in the pan, then top with peach pie filling. Drop remaining batter over the pie filling.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden. Cool.
  4. For the glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract. Drizzle over bars.
