For the cookies:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box orange cake mix
- Orange food coloring (or 1 part red to 2 parts yellow), optional
- 1 cup white chocolate chips

- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix the dough: In a large bowl, beat together butter, orange extract, vanilla extract, cream cheese, and egg until smooth. Slowly add the cake mix and mix well. Add orange food coloring if desired. Fold in white chocolate chips and chill the dough for 30 minutes.
- Form the cookies: Shape the dough into 24 balls, roll each in powdered sugar, and place on the prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake: Bake for 12-13 minutes until set. Cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
