Chicken:
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
Sauce:

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 2 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flake
Additional:
- 8 oz medium pasta (such as penne, fusilli, bowties, etc.)
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- Fresh basil, chopped or torn, for serving
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Chicken: Pat chicken breasts dry, season with salt and pepper, and brown in olive oil over medium-high heat. Set aside.
- Make Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté garlic in butter, add wine, chicken broth, cream, seasoning, and tomatoes. Simmer.
- Cook Pasta: Add pasta to the sauce, nestle chicken on top, cover, and simmer until pasta is cooked and chicken is done.
- Finish Dish: Remove chicken, stir in parmesan and basil, adjust seasoning, and serve with sliced or chopped chicken on top.
