Description

Monster Munch is a fun and festive popcorn mix combining sweet cereals, marshmallows, candy corn, and roasted peanuts all coated in creamy white chocolate. Perfect for Halloween parties or anytime you want a crunchy, sweet, and spooky treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Mix Ingredients

  • 4 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup Count Chocula cereal
  • 1 cup Boo Berry cereal
  • 1 cup Franken Berry cereal
  • 1 cup Carmella Creeper cereal
  • 1 cup salted roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup candy corn

Coating

  • 1 – 10 ounce bag white chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the popped popcorn, miniature marshmallows, Count Chocula cereal, Boo Berry cereal, Franken Berry cereal, Carmella Creeper cereal, salted roasted peanuts, and candy corn until evenly distributed.
  2. Melt White Chocolate: Place the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl and heat according to the package instructions, usually in short bursts stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Coat Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn and cereal mixture. Gently stir with a spatula or spoon to evenly coat all the ingredients without crushing them.
  4. Set the Mixture: Spread the coated mixture onto a wax paper-lined tray, ensuring it is evenly spread out. Place the tray in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes to let the chocolate set and harden.
  5. Serve and Store: Once set, break the mixture into chunks. Store the Monster Munch in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to a week to maintain freshness and crunch.

Notes

  • You can substitute other cereals with similar textures or flavors if you cannot find the exact ones listed.
  • Using wax paper helps prevent sticking when setting the coated popcorn mix.
  • For a less sweet version, reduce the amount of white chocolate or try dark chocolate melting wafers.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep the mix crunchy and fresh.
