Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Coating
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 2 tsp. coconut oil
Main Ingredients
- 12 Halloween Oreos
- 12 lollipop sticks
- Black icing, for decorating
- 12 black ribbons
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate: In a medium heatproof bowl, microwave the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in 20-second increments, stirring between each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth, approximately 1 minute total.
- Insert Lollipop Sticks: Carefully insert a lollipop stick into the cream center of each Halloween Oreo to prepare them for dipping.
- Dip Oreos in Chocolate: Holding each Oreo over the bowl of melted chocolate, gently spoon the chocolate over both sides to completely coat the cookie, allowing any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl. Place the coated Oreos onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill to Set: Refrigerate the coated Oreos on the baking sheet for 5 to 10 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Decorate with Black Icing: Using black icing and a toothpick, draw Jack Skellington’s face on each Oreo pop. Allow the icing to set slightly.
- Add Final Touch: Tie a black ribbon in a bow at the base of each Oreo pop on the lollipop stick for decoration.
Notes
- Use high-quality white chocolate chips for a smoother coating and better flavor.
- Ensure the lollipop sticks are inserted carefully to prevent the cookies from breaking.
- If you don’t have black icing, you can use a black edible marker or pipe black melted chocolate for the face details.
- Make sure to chill the pops well so the chocolate coating hardens properly before decorating.
- Store the Oreo pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.
