For the Cheeto Crumbs:
- 8.5 ounces bag Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Crunchy crushed into fine crumbs (approximately 3 cups)
For the Flour Mixture:
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Egg Wash:
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon water, room temperature
Additional Ingredients:
- 12 (1 ounce) mozzarella string cheese sticks, cut in half
- Olive oil cooking spray
- 1/4–1/2 cup bottled ranch dressing (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cheeto Crumbs: Crush the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos in a food processor until fine. Transfer to a dish.
- Set Up Dredging Station: Place flour and salt in a dish, and whisk eggs and water in another dish.
- Coat Cheese Sticks: Dip cheese sticks in egg wash, flour, egg again, then Cheeto crumbs.
- Freeze: Freeze coated cheese sticks for 50 minutes.
- Air Fry: Spray sticks with oil, air fry at 390°F for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve: Serve Hot Cheeto Cheese Sticks with ranch dressing.
