Description

This Honey Lime Chili Chicken recipe combines tender chicken thighs with a sweet and tangy honey lime chili sauce, creating a flavorful dish that is perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

For the chicken

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 boneless skinless (or bone in) chicken thighs
  • Salt and pepper
  • 12 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp 21 Salute seasoning (optional)

The Honey lime chili sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp fresh garlic or garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Add the olive oil to a large skillet over medium high heat. Season the chicken thighs with all of the dry seasonings and once the oil is hot, place the chicken in the skillet smooth side down.
  2. Cook on both sides until the chicken has browned.
  3. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce by adding all of the ingredients to a bowl and whisk everything together very well.
  4. Once you have flipped the chicken and it’s nearing done, pour the honey lime chili sauce on the chicken (in the skillet) and reduce the heat as the sauce thickens.
  5. Let the sauce continue to simmer for 5-7 minutes before removing the chicken from the heat.
