Chicken Breast
- 500g / 1 lb chicken breast , boneless and skinless (2 pieces)
- Salt and pepper
Breading
- 1/4 cup flour (Note 1)
Sauce
- 3 1/2 tbsp (50g) unsalted butter (or 2 1/2 tbsp olive oil)
- 2 garlic cloves , minced
- 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or white or other clear vinegar)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce , light or all purpose (Note 2)
- 1/3 cup honey (or maple syrup)
Instructions
- Cut and Season Chicken: Cut chicken breasts in half horizontally to create 4 steaks. Season each side with salt and pepper.
- Bread Chicken: Coat chicken in flour, shaking off excess.
- Cook Chicken: Melt butter in a skillet, cook chicken until golden on both sides, then set aside.
- Make Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté garlic in butter. Add vinegar, soy sauce, honey, and simmer until thickened.
- Finish Dish: Coat chicken with sauce and serve.
Notes
- Gluten free – use cornflour / cornstarch instead.
- Light or all purpose soy sauce is recommended.
