Ingredients
Scale
Cream Cheese Mixture
- 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature (2 bricks)
- 1.5 ounces Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Seasoning Mix (1 packet)
- ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Roll Ups
- 5 flour tortillas
- ½ cup finely chopped ham
- ½ cup chopped green onion
Instructions
- Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, Hidden Valley Original Ranch Seasoning Mix, and shredded sharp cheddar cheese together thoroughly until evenly combined.
- Spread Mixture on Tortillas: Lay out each of the 5 flour tortillas and spread ⅕ of the cream cheese mixture onto each tortilla in an even ¼-inch thick layer to cover the surface.
- Add Ham and Onion: Evenly sprinkle the finely chopped ham and chopped green onions over the cream cheese layer on each tortilla.
- Roll Tortillas Tightly: Roll up each tortilla tightly from one end to the other to ensure the cream cheese mixture binds the tortilla together securely.
- Chill: Place the rolled tortillas in the refrigerator and chill for 1 to 2 hours until fully firm and chilled. This helps the roll-ups hold together when sliced.
- Slice and Serve: Remove from refrigerator and using a sharp knife, cut each rolled tortilla into ½-inch thick wheels. Serve as bite-sized appetizers.
Notes
- This recipe yields approximately 40-50 tortilla roll-ups. A serving size is 4-5 roll-ups.
- Soften cream cheese to room temperature before mixing for easy spreading. Low-fat or fat-free cream cheese can be used as alternatives.
- Swap the ham for finely chopped chicken or turkey for variation.
- Sharp cheddar cheese yields the best flavor, but other cheeses may be used to suit preference.
- You can make your own dry ranch seasoning if desired instead of using a packet.
- For best taste, serve the roll-ups fresh after slicing.
- Chilling the roll-ups for 1-2 hours before slicing helps them hold together and maintain their shape.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
