Ingredients
Scale
Sliders:
- 1 (12-count) Sweet Hawaiian Rolls
- 2 Tablespoons Honey Mustard Spread
- 1 lb. Deli Turkey Breast
- 8 to 12 slices Cheddar Cheese
Garlic Butter:
- 4 Tablespoons Salted Butter (melted)
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or 2 garlic cloves, minced)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley
Optional:
- Pickle Chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Remove the entire block of 12-count Hawaiian rolls from the package carefully to keep it intact. Using a long, serrated bread knife, slice the rolls horizontally into two layers. Place the bottom layer on a foil-lined or lightly greased 9×13-inch baking pan or cookie sheet. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Assemble the Sliders: Spread about 2 tablespoons of honey mustard evenly over the cut side of the bottom layer of rolls. Layer half of the deli turkey breast evenly over the honey mustard. Top the turkey with cheddar cheese slices, distributing them so each slider will have cheese. Repeat layering with the remaining turkey and cheese. Finally, place the top layer of rolls over the cheese.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic (or garlic powder) and dried parsley. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the garlic butter mixture all over the tops of the rolls, allowing it to drip down the sides and onto the bottom layer for full flavor coverage.
- Bake the Sliders: Cover the sliders with aluminum foil, spraying the side that will touch the rolls with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for 18 to 24 minutes total. The sliders are ready when the cheese is fully melted and the tops turn lightly golden brown.
- Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes. If desired, add pickle chips after baking. Use a sharp knife to carefully separate the sliders. Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Preferred Brands: Beaver Brand Honey Mustard Spread, Boar’s Head Turkey, Sargento Sharp or Medium Cheddar Cheese Slices, and King’s Hawaiian Rolls for best flavor and quality.
- Reheating: Reheat in a preheated 300°F oven for about 10 minutes until cheese is melted. Alternatively, microwave in 15-second intervals, but rolls might lose crispness.
- Storage: Store leftover sliders in an airtight container or wrap well in foil. Keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days for optimal freshness.
