For the Mushrooms:
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Meat Mixture:
- 2 pounds extra lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- Sauce of choice for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Saute the Mushrooms: In a frying pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and saute sliced mushrooms with salt and pepper until caramelized. Set aside.
- Cook the Bacon: In the same pan, cook bacon until crispy. Set aside.
- Prepare the Meat Bowls: Mix ground beef with garlic powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup of cheddar. Form 4 meat bowls on a baking sheet lined with foil.
- Assemble the Burger Bowls: Fill each bowl with cheddar, mushrooms, and top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
- Serve: Top with green onions and desired sauce. Enjoy!

- You can enhance the mushroom flavor by adding minced garlic during sauteing.
