Units Scale

Sauce:

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 (12-ounce) bag cranberries
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, orange zest, water, and orange juice. Cook over medium heat until boiling.
  2. Add Cranberries: Once boiling, add cranberries. Cook and stir until they pop and thicken, about 8-12 minutes. Adjust cooking time for desired thickness. Stir in cinnamon.
  3. Cool and Chill: Transfer the sauce to a bowl. Let it cool to room temperature, then cover and chill. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
