Instructions

  1. Prepare the Kielbasa: Slice the kielbasa into ¼-inch slices without cutting all the way through by placing it between two chopsticks or skewers. This ensures the slices stay connected and create a hasselback effect.
  2. Cut Bite-Sized Pieces: Slice the hasselback kielbasa crosswise into 1-inch bite-sized pieces, yielding about 20 pieces per ring, or 40 total.
  3. Make the Chipotle Aioli: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, chipotle chili powder, paprika, lime juice, and salt. Mix well to create a smoky, tangy sauce.
  4. Apply the Aioli: Brush about half of the chipotle aioli generously over the kielbasa bites, ensuring the sauce fills the cut sections. Reserve the remaining aioli for after cooking.
  5. Arrange for Air Frying: Place the kielbasa bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If needed, cook in batches depending on your air fryer’s capacity.
  6. Air Fry the Bites: Cook at 400°F for 5-7 minutes, or until nicely browned and crispy. Shake the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
  7. Finish and Serve: Remove bites from the air fryer, place on a platter, and brush with the reserved chipotle aioli or serve it as a dipping sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
