Description

This Cherry Pie Dirty Soda is a refreshing and flavorful drink that combines fresh cherries, Dr. Pepper, and a creamy vanilla cherry foam for a delightful twist on a classic soda. Perfect for a quick and delicious treat, this beverage offers a balance of fruity sweetness and creamy texture, bringing the nostalgic flavor of cherry pie to your glass.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Cherry Mixture

  • 2/3 cup whole cherries, seeds removed, fresh or frozen/thawed

Drink

  • 2 - 7.5 ounce cans Dr. Pepper
  • 1/2 cup vanilla creamer (Chobani brand or similar)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cherries: Mince the cherries finely until small enough to easily fit through a straw. Reserve a few spoonfuls of the fresh cherry juice released from chopping the cherries and set aside.
  2. Make Cherry Vanilla Cold Foam: Using a frother or a smoothie blender, whip the vanilla creamer together with the reserved cherry juice until it forms a thick, creamy, but pourable cold foam.
  3. Assemble the Drink: Place 4 tablespoons of the minced cherries at the bottom of each glass. Add ice cubes until each glass is about 2/3 full.
  4. Add Soda and Foam: Pour Dr. Pepper into each glass leaving about 2 inches of space at the top. Gently spoon in the cherry vanilla cold foam on top. Carefully stir the drink to combine without agitating too much to prevent overflow due to carbonation.

Notes

  • For a lower-calorie version, substitute regular creamers with cherry vanilla creamer like Ollipop and use Diet Dr. Pepper.
  • If fresh cherries are unavailable, frozen cherries thawed are a suitable alternative.
  • Use a gentle stirring technique to maintain carbonation and prevent overflow.
