Beef
- 1lb / 500g Ground Beef (10-12% fat)
- 1/2 cup / 125ml Beef Stock
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Cornstarch/Cornflour
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- Olive Oil, as needed
Wraps and Toppings
- 4 large Flour Tortillas, warmed
- 8 slices of Bacon, cooked to preference
- 8 slices of American/Burger Cheese
- 1/4 Lettuce, shredded
- 1 medium Tomato, diced
- 1/2 medium White Onion, finely diced/minced
- 4 tbsp Diced Pickles
- 4 tbsp Burger Sauce
Instructions
- Cook the Beef: In a large pan over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil or some leftover bacon fat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, and cook until almost brown all the way through.
- Drain and Season: Drain excess fat if necessary, then season with 1/2 tsp salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Continue cooking until beef is well browned.
- Add Liquids and Thicken: Pour in 1/2 cup beef stock mixed with 1 tsp cornstarch, and stir in Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the liquid thickens and the beef remains juicy but not saucy.
- Prepare Wrap: Lay a tortilla on a flat surface. Spread a handful of shredded lettuce in the bottom center, then layer pickles, diced onion, tomato, and a drizzle of burger sauce.
- Add Fillings: Top with two slices of bacon, then spoon some of the beef mixture over the bacon, and finish with two slices of cheese.
- Roll the Wrap: Fold the bottom of the tortilla over the fillings, then fold in the sides tightly, and scrunch the wrap to close it securely.
- Optional Grilling: Place the wrap seam-side down on a hot, greased griddle pan and cook until charred and crispy, flipping to sear all sides as desired. Adding a small piece of cheese on the seam helps seal the wrap.
