Description

These Air Fryer Deviled Eggs are a crispy twist on a classic appetizer. The eggs are cooked in an air fryer for a unique texture, then filled with a creamy, flavorful yolk mixture and topped with paprika and fresh dill.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Eggs:

  • 8 large eggs

Deviled Egg Filling:

  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 1/2 tsp. sweet pickle relish
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard, divided
  • 1 1/2 tsp. yellow mustard, divided
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Breading Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely ground Ritz cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Olive oil or cooking spray
  • Ground paprika
  • Fresh dill

Instructions

  1. Cook the Eggs: Place 6 eggs in the air fryer basket and cook at 250°F for 17 minutes. Transfer eggs to an ice bath, peel when cool.
  2. Prepare the Filling: Scoop out yolks, mix with mayonnaise, relish, mustards, salt, and pepper. Transfer to a piping bag and refrigerate.
  3. Set Up Breading Station: Prepare three shallow bowls with flour, egg mixture, and crumb mixture.
  4. Bread the Egg Whites: Coat egg whites in flour, egg mixture, and crumbs. Spray with cooking spray.
  5. Air Fry: Cook breaded eggs at 390°F until crispy, turning halfway through, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Assemble: Pipe filling into egg whites, dust with paprika, and top with dill.

Notes

  • You can customize the filling with additional ingredients like hot sauce, bacon bits, or herbs.
  • Ensure the eggs are fully cooled before handling to avoid burns.
